A mainland tourist plummeted 11 metres at Ocean Park’s The Summit, an open-air plaza at the park, before dying at the hospital shortly after.
At the time of the fall, the 50-year-old tourist was not on any of the park’s attractions or rides, he was sitting on a railing but lost his balance and fell onto a path below.
An Ocean Park spokeswoman said the tourist had climbed and sat onto a 1.1 meter high railing, which the park had put up signs urging visitors not to climb the railings. The police have investigated the incident and have ruled it to be an accident.
