Mainland Chinese woman slaps tour guide after he refuses to let her leave store

Yesterday, a mainland Chinese woman struck her tour guide after he refused to let her leave a store for half an hour, reports Apple Daily.

At around 9am, the tour group of 30 arrived at a store in Cheung Sha Wan. After 30 minutes in the shop, six mainland women, reportedly from Hunan, said they felt “detained” after their request to leave the shop was denied.

When the tour guide, surnamed Tin, tried to stop them from leaving, an argument erupted and Tin claimed that the six tourists surrounded him.

“They refused to stay,” Tin said. “One of them hit me.”

“The contract stated that they have to spend two hours in the jewellery shop and another hour in the shopping mall,” he said. “After that, we will go to Disneyland.”

During the argument, Tin claims he was slapped on the neck by one of the mainland women, apparently surnamed Wong. Tim called the police after the incident.

Tin, whose neck was red where he claimed to have been hit, was sent to hospital while the accused tourist was brought to the police station for further investigation.

The two eventually reconciliated and continued the tour, but Disneyland probably wasn’t all that fun.

If that seems familiar, it might because you remember this story from February when a woman complained that her tour guide said she didn’t buy enough at the exact same jewelry store to be taken to Disneyland.
