Residents of Kam Fung Court in Ma On Shan are reportedly concerned their apartments have been targeted by burglars after mysterious pen marks appeared next to the doorbells of multiple units.
Ma On Shan district councillor Mak Yun-pui confirmed the incident to Apple Daily, and said that many local residents had noticed strangers in the neighbourhood recently.
Mak also said he had arranged a meeting to discuss burglary prevention methods with police representatives tomorrow.
The district councillor referred to a similar case last year, when residents were given advertisement cards around the Lunar New Year, which is believed to have been a way to check whether their homes were empty for the holidays.
