A Brink’s security guard found himself in hot water last weekend after leaving a firearm at a HSBC ATM inside an Aberdeen shopping mall.
A member of the public spotted the gun leaned up against a wall in a shopping centre on Chengtu Road on Sunday night.
Police were called to the scene, where they took the security guard, apparently looking for the shotgun at the time, in for questioning.
Luckily, police managed to secure the area before anyone got their head blown off.
A police spokesperson said no arrests have been made and that they are still investigating the incident.
Just last month, a security guard from G4S left a loaded shotgun next to a cash machine in Shek Kip Mei.
And last year, another clumsy chump from the same company forgot to retrieve his firearm during a routine ATM inspection in Sha Tin.
What is it about ATMs that are making these guys forget their guns? Probably all those fun beeping sounds.
Oh, and in case you forgot, G4S is the security firm that saw HKD15 million of cash vanish into thin air on Christmas Eve last year when the door of the armoured car transporting the money randomly swung open on Gloucester Road in Wan Chai.
According to the SCMP, a security bureau that oversees and gives out licenses to private security firms warned that they might have their permits revoked and face prosecution if they keep up the blunders.
Up your game, guys. Or don’t. It’s pretty entertaining.
