Let’s get baked! Will YOU climb the tower of buns on Cheung Chau this weekend?

Here’s something you won’t do every day: climb up a 14-metre-high tower made of buns.

You CAN, however, do that this Sunday!

Besides the registered teams of schools, government departments and businesses, the general public (yep, that’s you), can get their hands sticky this weekend at the Cheung Chau Jiao Festival.

If you fancy proving your worth at this unique sports-meets-food feat, simply register on site at the Pak Tai Temple Playground on the island of Cheung Chau.

Hong Kong’s Mountaineering and Climbing Union will give you a quick safety briefing before letting you loose on the unsteady skyscraper.

You have to be at least one metre tall though, so make sure you wear your heels.

There will also be handicraft stalls, variety shows and a Wishing Bun Tower for those that haven’t always dreamt of scaling a mountain of baked goods (i.e. weirdos).

What: Cheung Chau Jiao Festival
When: Sunday May 17, 12pm-6pm
