Less people hating on the po-pos

Apparently, the police have been less disliked in the past year.

According to the Independent Police Complaints Council they’ve found a 21 per cent drop in complaints in the past 12 months. The IPCC say they received just under 4,900 allegations – usually related to the police neglecting duty, misconduct, and bad manners according to the RTHK.

Out of the 4,900 cases, 1,500 were investigated but only 101 substantiated to something more. The IPCC says because of the small number of allegations being substantiated, figures may suggest people have been abusing the system. Hey, what’s there to complain about, less people are unhappy with the police or less people are abusing the system – either way it’s a good thing!
