Emergency services this morning talked down a man preparing to jump from the top of a six-floor tenement building in Mong Kok.

According to HK01, police received a call around 10:30am that a man had been spotted on top of the building on Shantung Street in Mong Kok.

Police cordoned off the area around the street, and firefighters brought in an air cushion. Thankfully, however, after about 30 minutes, police managed to talk the man off of the ledge, and at about 11:30am he was taken to hospital.

On.cc reports that the man is in his 20s, is unemployed, and was not a resident at the building he tried to jump from.
