It’s an exercise three-way at Hong Kong’s Shek O Challenge!

Ready, set… splash/dash!

Nothing beats the summer heat like a proper swim… or kayaking or running with some fierce competition.

The annual Jax Shek-O Challenge, which will be held this year on Saturday, July 11, is the perfect opportunity for you to do just that.

Participants race from Big Wave Bay to Shek O Back Beach and can choose to swim, run or paddle. To add onto the fun, you can sign up as a team of two or three, but you’ll each have to choose a different method to get to the finish line.

Naturally, the swimming race is the shortest distance (2.2 kilometres), while paddling is the longest (9 kilometres) and running sits in the middle ground at 8.2 kilometres.

After the race, a party will be held with beach volleyball, music, food and beach sprints – though you’ll probably just want to go sit in some air-con and order takeaway.

Hurry and sign up for the race here before the July 9 deadline!
