iPhone explodes in man’s pocket

An iPhone 3GS exploded in a man’s pocket and nearly injured the owner.

The man purchased the phone three years ago and had the phone in his pocket when the incident happened. He recalls the phone suddenly getting extremely hot and started expanding in his pocket , and later, the front and back of the iPhone shell flew off in an explosion.

Luckily the man was not injured as he removed the phone out of his pocket in time. An inquiry at the repair centre revealed that the battery must be periodically changed over time. So if you are still using the iPhone 3 models, be warned!
