Police have arrested a student at an international school after he allegedly dragged a female classmate into a toilet on campus and sexually assaulted her.

According to HK01, the incident took place last month when the 13-year-old boy at the Independent Schools Foundation (ISF) forced his classmate, 14, into the toilet with him.

The girl then told a teacher what had happened. Police said in a statement that they received a report on May 14 about a girl being indecently assaulted at a school in Pok Fu Lam.

The ISF Academy wrote in a letter to parents Wednesday that management is assisting police with their inquiries and that the school is deeply concerned about the incident, according to the South China Morning Post.

Coconuts has reached out to the ISF Academy but has not received a response at the time of writing.

The Education Bureau told local media that it is in contact with the school over the case and rendering suitable assistance.
