HSBC apologies after link on website leads to porn

We all know what a headache it is doing online banking with HSBC. Perhaps a porn interlude would help ease the pain?

Well, you had your chance.

HSBC was forced to release an apology yesterday after learning that a link on its website went to a pornographic site.

A URL on the Young Entrepreneur Awards page directed unsuspecting clickers to images of people having sex and women in saucy poses.

Apparently the blunder occurred as the bank allowed its registration of the URL to expire after the awards were scrapped in 2011. It was subsequently taken over by the porn site.

The bank said in a statement that “a link to an external third-party website has been removed” from the page, adding, “HSBC is not in any way associated with the external third-party website. HSBC would like to apologise to the public for any inconvenience caused,” it said.

They insist the site is secure, so you’ll have to find your own porn, banker wanker.
