Hot and Wet: We’re talking Hong Kong August weather, perv

Hey, it’s okay. All your moaning has been justified.

The Hong Kong Observatory has confirmed that August was slightly hotter and LOADS rainier than usual.

According to their blow-by-blow account of the month’s weather (seriously, it’s quite comically detailed), the average temperature in August was 29 degrees centigrade , 0.4 degrees higher than the monthly average.

We also received 21 percent (212 hours) more sunshine than expected, but an incredible 27 percent (432 millimetres) more rain. Gotta take the rough with the smooth guys.

And the hottest day of the month? August 1st, which reached a whopping 34.6 degrees.

Now you know.
