Finally, something to rival Rugby Week. Introducing Beer Week – basically the same kind of thing without all that sport stuff getting in the way of your drinking. Hurrah!
For the first time ever, Hong Kong will mark the run-up to hop-heavy festi Beertopia with a whole week of crafty celebrations.
HK Beer Week, between Oct. 2 and 10, will see events held and discounts offered across the city’s many bars and restaurants before the all-out Beertopia festival at Central Harbourfront on Oct. 9 and 10.
Think of it as liver training for the main event.
Discounts will be offered in craft beer bars and online throughout the week, while restaurants such as Aberdeen Street Social and Madam Sixy Ate will be serving up limited edition beer pairing menus.
Even staunchly spirit-centred spots, namely The Woods, Topiary and Little Lab, will up their game and dish out specially designed craft beer cocktails.
In addition, they’ll also be beer-based quizzes, tap takeovers, home-brew exchanges, and scavenger hunts for – you guessed it – BEER!
