The Hong Kong government has called on the public to report any localised flooding, as this nasty pasty, soggy sarnie weather is set to continue all week. And yes, that includes Saturday and Sunday – sorry junkers.
A broad trough of low pressure brought on by an active southwesterly airstream is washing the unsettled weather to our shores, with cloud, rain and thunderstorms forecast through to Sunday, when we’ll get some respite with just cloud and rain.
It’s expected to brighten up again on Monday, however, (just in time to go back to work, yay!), as a subtropical ridge over the western North Pacific shimmies westward.
In the meantime, if you find yourself knee-deep rather than ankle-deep in water, call the Drainage Services Department’s 24-hour hot/wetline on (+852) 2300-1110.
