Appropriately-named writer Jason Wordie cause quite a stir this week after lamenting Hong Kong’s “expat brats” in a column in the SCMP’s Sunday Post Magazine.
The article, which described “third culture kids” as “emotionally shallow […] serial hypocrites [with a] chillingly utilitarian attitude”, prompted several heated responses, including a well-penned opinion piece by Jingan Young, which was published in Coconuts HK on Wednesday.
In her witty retort, Young called on third culture Hongkongers to tell us their #expatbratprobelms over Twitter. Here’s some of what we got:
