A storm’s brewing, Coconauts. Or at least, it might be.
It seems the heavy rain this morning — which saw the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) raise Amber then Red rainstorm signals before switching back to Amber again, all within four hours — was just a warmup for things to come.
According to the Observatory, a trough of low pressure is bringing showers to Hong Kong over the next few days. The HKO forecast the development of a tropical cyclone between the northern part of the South China Sea and the western North Pacific at the beginning of next week, but it remains unclear where the cyclone will form and subsequently move towards.
What we do know, however, is that it’s predicted to rain for the next nine days. Check it out for yourselves if you don’t believe us:

Brilliant.
At least all this precipitation is bringing the temperatures down, right?
