Since weather is getting (slightly) warmer, that beach body needs a workout for junk season, and your liver needs a workout for the Hong Kong Sevens, a sporting festival on the beach sounds like an excellent choice!
The Prudential Beach 5s will take place at Repulse Bay on Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22, marking the official start of Rugby Week.
The exhilarating event will once again feature rough and tumble beach rugby, as well as beach netball, beach dodgeball, and new additions football and competitive fitness.
So there’s something for every type of showoff!
The blokes’ rugby teams range from run-of-the-mill to wacky, with the serious Hong Kong Scottish squaring up against the preppy British Jack Wills boys, the vodka-focused Moscow Lads, and even the one-man team of Rajan “Mr. Rugby” Tolan’s Nil RFC.
And oh, don’t forget the rugby minis. Go kids!
All rugby matches are just eight minutes each half and feature special rules and a scoring system that ensures they’re awesome to watch too.
So get away from everything… apart from fun, sand and beer.
