Hong Kong woman charged with murder for allegedly enlisting friend to shoot boyfriend in Australia

Hong Kong national Tracey Lo has been charged after she allegedly enlisted a friend to shoot her boyfriend in Australia.

The 26-year-old Hongkonger and her friend, 32-year-old Daniel Duhovic, were both charged with murder in Melbourne Magistrate’s Court today.

Lo’s boyfriend, 48-year-old Paul Hogan, was found dead in the driver’s seat of his van on Tuesday morning, outside his home in Bacchus Marsh, Victoria.

According to the Herald Sun, Hogan was shot in the head at point-blank range.

Lo, who lived with Hogan, reportedly called her colleague before the alleged murder to say she and Hogan were having problems.

Lo’s colleague told the Herald Sun that Hogan could be heard yelling in the background, and Lo said that a friend was on his way to pick her up.

Daniel Duhovic is reported to have driven to Hogan’s house that morning with a shotgun. He allegedly approached Hogan as he was backing out of the driveway and shot him in the head from four feet away, the court heard today.

Lo, who had no fixed address, has reportedly been living in Australia on a working holiday visa.

Lo and Duhovic will appear in court again on Oct. 20.
