Yet another brawl involving a mainland tour group has erupted, just 10 days after the fatal attack on a mainland tourist in Hong Kong.
A Hong Kong guide for a mainland tour group was attacked at a bus station in Shenzhen’s Huanggang Port Control yesterday morning. The tour escort, who was meeting his group in order to bring them into Hong Kong, reportedly got into an altercation with three members of another tour group. The two groups are said to have begun pushing and shoving each other because of overcrowding at the bus station.
While the guide perservered after his beating and brought his tour group into Hong Kong, he was rushed to the North District hospital in Sheung Shui at around noon yesterday. After assessing his injuries, the doctors said that he has to recover in the hospital for at least two to three weeks.
Oriental Daily reports that the guide’s attackers (two men and one woman, all from the mainland) are in Hong Kong, but are due to return to China after concluding their shopping trip today. As the incident took place outside of Hong Kong, local authorities are unable to investigate the matter.
