Hong Kong stocks fall 2.81 percent

Hong Kong stocks tumbled 2.81 percent in the morning session on growing concerns about the Chinese economy and following a fourth-straight sell-off on Wall Street.

The benchmark Hang Seng index slipped by 706.32 points to 24,422.19 on turnover of HKD52.99 billion.
