It’s clear Hong Kong police don’t take missing persons reports for teenage girls particularly seriously.
Just last week we reported on 13-year-old Tam Yee-man who had been missing since May 2. Thankfully she handed herself into the police station a day after our article.
Today, we’ve learnt of another girl, this time 14-year-old Mo Yung Hang-yee, who’s been missing since May 3.
She was last seen at her home in Yuen Lung Street. Her family first reporting her missing to the police on May 6.
Police describe the girl as follows:
“About 1.62 metres tall and weighs about 50 kilograms, she is of medium build, with a round face, yellow complexion, long straight black hair, a coloured Rubik’s Cube tattoo on the outer side of her left upper arm and a English words tattoo on the inner side of her right forearm.”
Good job the Rubik’s Cube tattoo sounds distinctive, because we hear there are a fair few English words knocking about on girls’ arms these days.
If you know the whereabouts of Mo or think you have seen her, drop into any police station, call the Regional Missing Person Unit of New Territories North on 3661-3128 or 6273-5787 or email to rmpu-ntn-1@police.gov.hk.
