A couple living in Hong Kong have been killed along with their daughter after their car collided with a logging truck in New Zealand this week.
Their 18-year-old son, who was also in the car, survived but remains in hospital.
Warren Lee, 53, and wife Aesoon Lee, 52, where in New Zealand to help their daughter, 20-year-old Julie Lee, settle in before starting university in Auckland.
The couple were both American citizens living in Hong Kong.
According to New Zealand media outlets, Julie Lee was driving with the family in the North Island town of Tokotoa on Tuesday when their car crossed to the other side of the road and crashed head-on into the logging truck.
The driver of the truck was unhurt, and it is unclear why the incident occurred.
According to police, initial investigations indicate that the parents were in the back seat of the vehicle and not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
