Hong Kong men need to get their balls checked more regularly

Dr Ho Lap-yin, medial adviser for the Hong Kong Cancer Fund, discovers alarming prostate cancer findings in a recent survey.

Prostate cancer is the third most common cancer among Hong Kong men but the public appears to have very little knowledge of the deadly disease.

Most of the respondents to the survey didn’t feel it necessary to consult a doctor if they developed symptoms down there, even though 1,500 prostate cancer cases are reported in Hong kong each year, with one-fifth of the cases being fatal.
