Hong Kong man arrested in Guangdong after girlfriend’s dismembered remains found in river

A Hong Kong man has been arrested in mainland China after he allegedly killed and dismembered his local girlfriend before dumping her remains in a river.

The 50-year-old factory owner was arrested in Huizhou, Guangdong, yesterday after police found the woman’s remains in the Jinshan River over the weekend, reports the state-owned news agency China News Service.

The victim, who was also 50, went missing on Aug. 17 according to her daughter.

The man has been arrested on suspicion of intentional homicide.
