Hong Kong has more multimillionaires than any other city in the world

Hong Kong has 15,400 people whose net assets are worth more than USD10 million (HKD77.5 million). This beats any other city on Earth, according to a list compiled by South African wealth consultancy New World Wealth.

The city only comes in at fifth in terms of the number of millionaires, however, with a measly 211,700 people — or 2.9 percent of the population — who have net assets of more than USD1 million (HKD7.75 million). London came in no.1 in that category, with 395,600 millionaires, making up three percent of its population (not much in it the  really), reports the Standard.

When we look at the per-capita ranking of millionaires, however, Geneva comes in first with 7.8 percent of its residents being super rich. Zurich close scooped second with 5.8 percent.
