With 12-year-olds pulling off jewelry heists, robbers shooting store clerks, and some anti-parallel-trade protesters being generally mean to people, it’s nice to be reminded that Hong Kong is a city full of kind-hearted citizens willing to help one another.
In this clip, which has been shared almost 500 times, a construction worker notices an old man struggling to gain forward momentum on his bike as they cross the street.
He thus decides to give the elderly man a little push, helping him across the road successfully, and for a few seconds they look more like schoolchildren playing than adults who quite literally just happened to cross paths.
The video, posted to Facebook by local media company on.cc, appears to have been captured by a motorcyclist’s helmet cam, so the two men likely had no idea they were being filmed.
Bless them!
