A Hong Kong civil servant has been arrested for releasing revenge porn of his girlfriend.
According to Ming Pao, the 29-year-old man was arrested on Monday after investigations by the Tai Po District Crime Squad.
He has since been released on bail pending investigation and is due to report to the police in early November.
The materials consist of at least five videos and several photos, all of which have been widely circulated online. The man reportedly released them because he suspected his girlfriend of cheating.
Some show the woman having sex and oral sex, showering and taking a nude selfie.
The victim’s face is not covered or blurred in some of the videos and photos, and her private parts can also be seen.
The newspaper reported that both the arrestee and victim are executive officers. According to the government’s website, executive officers are professional managers who specialize in resource and system management.
