Hong Kong businessman released without charge after frisking two women while posing as a TSA agent at San Fran Airport

A Hong Kong-based investment banker who allegedly posed as a TSA agent and privately frisked two women while drunk at San Francisco Airport has been released without charge.

Eric Slighton, 53, was arrested last month after being accused or bringing two Asian women into a private room on July 15 while on his way through the airport late at night.

However, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe told CBS San Francisco that Slighton, who is the director of Aktis Capital Singapore, a Hong Kong-based investment group, was released due to a lack of evidence.

Police failed to track down the two women allegedly assaulted by Slighton, and there were no cameras in the private room.

Wagstaffe also revealed that Slighton is believed to be related by marriage to a top official in the Chinese government, but denied that this had any bearing on the decision to release him without charge.
