Since the launch of Hong Kong’s Quality Migrant Admission Scheme eight years ago, many overseas talents from around the world have been attracted to Hong Kong.
As of last November, a total of 2,646 migrants have applied and were accepted into the scheme.
According to the director of Hong Kong’s Security Bureau, to best develop Hong Kong’s economy and society, the government needs to constantly review these schemes according to its needs. The government plans to promote the scheme and attract even more high quality talents to work in Hong Kong. Currently, there are 1,600 migrants living in Hong Kong under the scheme.
