Holy Smokes: Customs seizes 2.5 kg of cannabis in Tin Shui Wai, 2 arrested

On Monday, customs officials arrested two people after seizing suspected cannabis buds and suspected meth.

Customs discovered a whopping 2.5 kilogrammes of weed in the boot of a 42-year-old man’s private car in Tin Shui Wai. That would have made for one crazy hotbox.

They later found a small amount of cannabis in addition to some meth at his house in Sau Mau Ping.

A woman, 41, was also arrested in connection to the drugs.

The total market value of the seized drugs was roughly HKD450,000.

Drug trafficking is a serious offence that can be punished by a fine of up to HKD5 million and life imprisonment.
