Even though he was granted a mobile TV license earlier, Ricky Wong Wai-kay of Hong Kong Television Network (HKTV) hasn’t given up on a free-to-air TV license.
HKTV recently filed an application for judicial review on the government’s decision to not issue a free-to-air TV license to HKTV. The announcement was made in a statement at the stock exchange yesterday.
On Oct. 15, 2013, the government granted free-to-air TV licenses to HKTV’s two competitors, i-Cable’s Fantastic Television and PCCW’s Hong Kong Television Entertainment, but refused to grant a license to HKTV.
