Mere minutes before show time, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra cancelled a concert in light of the sudden death of Ambrose Yeung, operations manager.
It has been reported by the SCMP that Yeung had drove himself to see a doctor when he felt unwell after a badminton game. Yeung didn’t make it to the doctor, instead passed out at a red light, and medics were not able to resuscitate Yeung at the scene.
Yeung was just 39-years-old and leaves behind his wife Ada Lai.
Last night, the orchestra dedicated a sell-out show to Yeung’s memory.
