Rain lashed Hong Kong last night, forcing The Hong Kong Observatory to change their rainstorm warning from amber to red and then to black in the space of two hours.
The black rainstorm warning lasted for more than an hour. The black warning is only the second time the highest alert has been issued this year.
Flooding was reported in numerous areas in Hong Kong island and the New Territories.
At Tai Wai station, flooding was so bad that certain areas had to be closed off. Flooding was also serious at the Hung Hom tunnel and Kwun Tong apm mall.
This is the second black rainstorm warning in a little over a month, with the last one occurring on March 30, which caused serious damage at Festival Walk, reports Apple Daily.
