Haha CY Leung befriends Lufsig

This stuffed wolf toy is getting more media attention than ever!

As we reported yesterday, the Ikea toy Lufsig has become one of Hong Kong’s most popular anti-government symbol, so we’re pretty sure Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying has heard all about it – afterall he was in close contact with one Lufsig on Sunday. But who knew CY Leung was such a funny guy – he took to his blog and posted a picture of him and Lufsig on his desk.

Leung also talked about how popular Lufsig is, how quickly it has been snapped off the shelves and how popular it has been to resell the toy online. He further praised how creative Hongkongers were and Ikea for creating a product that was educational and for a good cause.

For all these reasons, Leung said he too had to get his hands on a Lufsig, not just to contribute to the Children’s charity but to treat his daughter to an early Christmas present.

As we all know, Lufsig sold-out in Hong Kong yesterday so Leung either kept the Lufsig the protester threw at him, made life difficult for one of his subordinates, or overpaid an online seller with taxpayers’ money!
