A 28-year-old woman jumped off the platform into an oncoming train at the Shatin station in a gruesome suicide on Saturday afternoon. She was with her family waiting for the train when she suddenly seemed agitated, and jumped off the platform.
Although the train tried to brake, it was too late, and she was rolled into the undercarriage and died instantly. Onlookers were frightened badly and the platform was closed temporarily.
