Green Tea: Hong Kong man arrest with cannabis disguised as tea

Who wants a nice cup of weed? That’s not something you hear too often in Hong Kong, but apparently it’s not all together out of the question.

On Wednesday, officers from Hong Kong’s Customs Drug Investigation Bureau intercepted a man in Tai Wai, New Territories, with 0.5 kilos of suspected cannabis bud conceals inside tea packets.

After being collared, the 47-year-old escorted the officers to his nearby home, which they searched along with his truck.

There, just under four kilos of suspected weed was found along with more tea packing paraphernalia.

The man, who claims to be a transportation worker (transporting what, you may ask) was arrested for drug trafficking while investigations continue.

Sniff carefully next time you brew up, tea lovers. The normal stuff’s meant to wake you up, not put you to sleep.
