Gorgeously grainy Hong Kong video is a visa run well spent

If you’ve ever had to do one, you’ll know that visa runs are a truly thankless task. Not so, however, if you make a super awesome video while you’re on one.

In that case you do receive thanks – from us!

So thanks to Philipp Bernhardt, who came to Hong Kong from Guangzhou recently to renew his Chinese visa.

With a week’s worth of footage, he created this fab two-minute compilation of his trip, edited pretty damn skillfully to Bonobo’s First Fires.

Although featuring the boringly obligatory tram ride and Peak time lapse, the video also offers plenty of gritty, graffiti-smeared goodness in between.

If you’re interested in the technical side, Bernhardt says he used a Sony A7ii and took most of the shots in SLOG-2 at ISO 3200. A variable ND filter was used to add extra grainy effect.
