Hong Kong has put its dog crazy antics towards a good cause! Yesterday, an auction of 70 uniquely decorated Gromit statues saw HKD573,000 raised for hospital charities. Yay!
Held at the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, the Gromit Unleashed auction was the first to take place outside of the UK after the scheme was launched in Bristol in 1995.
The top dog of the night was “Sweet Dreams” by Nick Park, which fetched HKD120,000.
The proceeds will be split between the Art in Hospital Hong Kong charity and Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Get your tail a’wagging with that good news story!
