No longer a dream, get in bed with the ostrich pillow and its designer
Here’s your opportunity to get in bed with designers! And we’re not joking.
This weekend, online design shopping site buyMeDesign will be hosting In Bed With Designers. The unique event, part of the first ever Hong Kong Designers’ Week, will have 50 designers turn three floors of Mini Hotel, Hong Kong into a wonderland of design.

Guests will be able to explore a range of creations designed by talented designers from ten different countries and of many specialties – stationary, furniture, home decor, lighting, and more. The designers will set up shop in hotel rooms and sell their unique wares, as well as meet and chat – or get in bed – with locals in Hong Kong.
The event will take place from 1:30pm to 11:00pm on Saturday and 11:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday.

For those catching the event on Saturday, a guided tour will take media guests around the various showcasing designers’ rooms followed by a Design Talk where international industrial designer Michael Young, Project Director of Hong Kong Design Centre, William To, and fashion, design and architecture blogger Wanderlister and more will be present. A PechaKucha Night will round-up the day’s activities.
Florence Giraudon, Founder of buyMeDesign, explains the event was created “to provide a platform to introduce innovative and creative designers to the expanding Asian market. In bed With Designers is the physical representation of our design curation and is the new destination in Hong Kong to discover, experience and interact with the latest global designs and designers.”
