Fright Club: Scare yourself silly with Hong Kong’s latest addition to the Halloween scene

If you hardly cringed at The Conjuring and eat Evil Dead for breakfast, maybe it’s time to take fear to the next level. If you’ve got the balls, Hong Kong’s latest touring attraction Fright Dome might just give you the willies.

The multi-venue freak fest promises to “scare the living hell out of Hong Kong”, from Sept. 26 to Nov.2, as the installation makes it Asian debut with its first international endeavour since its Las Vegas launch in 2003.

Known as one of the five scariest attractions in the USA, Fright Dome will be taking over 15,000sqf of scare-space in the spooky, fog-engulfed setting on The Peak next month. Leatherface of Texas Chainsaw Massacre (with a working chainsaw prop, eek!) and Killer Clown are just two of the creepy characters that will be roaming the realms of the two themed haunted houses.

Creator Jason Egan promises that the cast of award-winning actors set to sneak up on unsuspecting scare seekers will make any visit a scream, but we’re not sure how many Oscars you really need to say “boo!”.

A multimedia lighting show designed in collaboration with Hollywood’s FX genius Gary J Tunnicliffe will also add to the fright experience, and with more than 150,000 people expected to attend, you can rest assured that you won’t be alone when you’re screaming out for mommy.
