Yesterday evening a luxury house was burgled and had HK$34,000 of cash and valuables stolen. This is the fourth burglary in the area in the past six weeks.
The two-storey house on Ma On Path was discovered to have been burgled yesterday evening at around 11pm, the woman living there returned home from dinner to find windows forced open and her bedroom ransacked.
A mere two weeks ago a villa in the same complex had HK$130,000 cash stolen and on the same night in an apartment nearby, on Kau Tau Shan Road, HK$43,000 in cash and jewellery. In early Feb., burglars stole HK$1 million from a house on Kau Tau Shan Road.
