Firefighters called to Sheung Wan temple blaze after loud bang reported by residents

A Sheung Wan temple was ablaze last night after witnesses reported hearing a loud bang and seeing smoke pouring out of the building.

At around 8:30pm last night, Tai Ping Shan Street was filled with police and firefighters as water was pumped into the small temple.

Any flames seemed to be quelled quickly, but it is unclear how much damage was sustained.
