A recently dismissed waiter was arrested yesterday morning after threatening his boss at his former workplace on Boundary Street in Mong Kok.
The man, aged 38 and surnamed Xu, was apparently fired last week for showing a poor attitude towards customers – and also for allegedly stealing beer, reports Apple Daily.
Unhappy with losing his job, he reportedly kept returning to the restaurant to argue with his ex-boss, with his frustrations culminating in him arriving at the eatery with a 28-centimetre-long cleaver in hand shortly after midnight yesterday.
The restaurant owner, understandably frightened and concerned for the safety of his patrons, shut the restaurant’s screen doors.
Eventually he managed to get in, but brave, non-crazy, non-fired staff tackled him and pinned him to the ground.
The cleaver wielder was arrested and taken to hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained to his head, fingers, face, stomach.
