So far three men have already died from the deadly virus in Hong Kong and at Kwong Wah Hospital, a 65-year-old man contracted with bird flu is in critical condition.
The man had told health authorities that he had been to Kaiping in Guangdong province from Jan. 24-Feb. 9. On Jan. 29, he slaughtered a chicken he bought from a village there.
The patient developed a fever and a cough on Feb. 8 and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and later held in isolation.
His family members have shown no symptoms yet but are held at the Princess Margaret Hospital for observation.
