Female patient goes missing, found 11 hours later dead in hospital air shaft

Police have labeled the case suspicious and are combing through CCTV footage for clues on how a female patient, 32-year-old Wang, who was reported missing from the accident and emergency department at 4am yesterday, was later found dead in a ventilation shaft at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Wang was admitted to the accident and emergency department, drunk with alcohol on her breath and a head wound. She was treated by the doctor and had a brain scan which indicated normal results. She was apparently accompanied by a friend after being treated but went missing just 10 minutes after she was asked to stay in the observation room.

Hospital security was informed at 4:30am and guards searched the hospital. The case was then reported to the police at 6:15am.

Wang then went missing for 11 hours until her body was finally found at 2:50pm 100 meters away in another building by a hospital worker who was fixing a machine.
