Lottery hopefuls have something to cheer for as the Mark Six draw will be increased to twice a week starting next Tuesday.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced on its website on Wednesday that the city’s lottery draw will be held every Tuesday and Friday.
The Jockey Club said: “As the major source of income of the Lotteries Fund, the increase of Mark Six draw from the current once a week under the COVID-19 pandemic to twice a week will increase the income of the Lotteries Fund and provide assistance to the needed in the community, particularly at a time when Hong Kong people are facing an unprecedented pandemic challenge.”
The Mark Six draw usually takes place three times a week but had in recent years been suspended or seen its frequency reduced due to the pandemic.
All off-course betting branches have been closed until further notice from Jan. 26, 2022. Customers can only buy Mark Six tickets via 1886 Telebet Automated Services, Online Betting Service (eWin) and the Classic 3-in-1 mobile app.
