Father-of-two stole and drank colleague’s breast milk and sent her dick pics, court hears

You know how to be a selfish colleague? Steal your coworkers’ food and drink from the office pantry when no one’s looking.

You know how to be an unbelievably awful, and actually criminal colleague? Take someone’s breast milk from the office pantry, drink it, text your colleague a review of said breast milk, then send her unsolicited dick pics.

Unfortunately, while that all sounds too insane to be true, a Hong Kong man has admitted to doing exactly that to a new mother in his office.

A 37-year-old married IT technician and father-of-two surnamed Lam said told a court yesterday that he had stolen a container of breast milk belonging to his coworker from his workplace in Shau Kei Wan on March 8.

Afterwards, Lam texted the woman whom it belonged to, saying that he had heated it up and drank it himself, remarking that it was “quite sweet and very tasty”, and even asked if the woman would let him drink her breast milk again, Apple Daily reports. (As if she ever “let” him.)

The 37-year-old also admitted to WhatsApping the victim (who was not named) pictures of his erect penis in mid-April. Lam pleaded guilty to one count of theft, but claimed he had stopped taking prescribed antidepressants at the time, which influenced his actions.

The magistrate pointed out that not only did Lam commit a theft, but he also pressured the victim by actively disclosing that he had consumed the milk, and harassed her with his lewd messages. As a result, the magistrate said imprisonment was “unavoidable”.

Lam, who has two daughters, aged four and six, will be remanded in custody until his sentencing on Dec. 21. The court has ordered a reports on his suitability to probation and community service, as well as psychiatric and psychological reports.

Coincidentally, the Hong Kong goverment issued a statement last night detailing its plans to encourage breastfeeding in workplaces in public places. Judging by this case and the taxi driver who thought it was appropriate to photograph a breastfeeding passenger seemingly without her knowledge and mock her online, we’d say it’s sorely needed.
