A family of three, including a four-year-old girl, has been hospitalised after they were all knocked down by a lorry in Yau Tong this afternoon.
At around 1pm, a lorry transporting frozen meat was driving along Lei Yue Mun Road towards the Lam Tin ambulance depot when it hit a couple and their young daughter, who were pushing furniture across a pedestrian crossing, Ming Pao reports.
The child, a four-year-old girl, reportedly had her foot run over, while her 46-year-old father and 42-year-old mother were also injured. All three were rushed to hospital for treatment. The child’s mother, who sustained the most serious injuries, was admitted to the intensive care unit.
The lorry driver said the traffic light was green at the time of the incident, HK01 reports. A police investigation is underway.
