Erwiana before coming to Hong Kong (left) with friend
Understandably furious about what has happened to his daughter in Hong Kong, Erwiana’s father has told reporters that he is working with lawyers in Java, Indonesia to explore his daughter’s legal options.
According to the RTHK, the father is looking to sue Erwiana’s Hong Kong employer, housewife Lo Wan-tung, and the employment agency Chan’s Asia.
Lo is currently on bail for HK$1 million, after she appeared in court earlier today, charged with abusing three Indonesian helpers.
The police have also furthered investigation into the case by hiring a senior forensic pathologist and the Hong Kong government and authorities have stressed the severity of the matter.
Lo’s court hearing will be held on Mar. 25.
