Indonesian domestic helper, Erwiana Sulistyaningsih, who was previously abused by her Hong Kong employer returned to Hong Kong today to provide evidence for the current trial of her former employer who is charged with wounding with intent, common assault and criminal intimidation.
Erwiana will be staying for a few days – she is accompanied by her father, friend who had helped her to the Hong Kong airport when she was injured, a lawyer, as well as a leader of the Association of Indonesian Migrant Workers. They will be staying at a shelter arranged by the Mission for Migrant Workers in Hong Kong that will be guarded by the police around the clock.
